Los Angeles resident and Andover native Elissa Kalver returned to her hometown Monday for a day of festivities and fundraising, culminating in $104,000 raised for WE GOT THIS, the nonprofit she founded after being diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer two years ago.
“I’m not just here to stay alive,” Kalver told the more than 250 friends and supporters who turned out to support the event. “I’m not afraid of dying. I’m afraid of not being able to live.”
