THRIVER LIST: Elissa Kalver

Hey everyone! My name is Elissa Kalver. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer at the age of 34, just a few days before my daughter’s first birthday. I had been working in financial services and had sold a gym I ran for several years, just a couple of years before getting diagnosed. I’m all about balance (I love both Backstreet Boys and NSYNC!). Here are my top 5 registry recs:

1. Bombas Socks – I love that Bombas don’t have seams on the toe line because I tend to get cuticle infections during chemo. They have been a huge comfort for me and I love their mission of buy 1, give 1.

2. Hyperice Venom 2 Back – Cancer has been a huge pain in my back! This product from Hyper Ice not only helps massage but also provides heat. It’s been a huge relief from me with my recent symptom of back pain.

3. Flip Mits – Icing during chemo was a big thing for me to help prevent neuropathy. I love that Flip Mits can keep my hands warm while also being functional, not only in every day life but also while having to ice my finger tips.

4. Sleep Again Pillow – While I haven’t had surgery yet myself, I am preparing for a lumpectomy next month and I have already found so much comfort from the pillow system from Sleep Again. This thriver founded business is one that I am so grateful exists.

5. Casa Danu Kimono – Having a comfortable robe throughout treatment has been so critical, but I found that some of the heavier robes were too hot. I am so excited about this thriver founded line of products that is so comfortable, temperature controlled and will be extremely helpful as I’m recovering from my lumpectomy.
